Prior to this he spent 15 years with the Imperial Group as CEO of the group's logistics division, and before that the managing director of the Tanker Services business.

Paul has more than 15 years' experience in the construction industry with significant experience in corporatising and integrating owner-managed businesses into listed companies. He served as Managing Director (and before that Financial Director) of the General Building Materials Division of Iliad Africa. There Paul managed 3 000 employees in 51 outlets in a division posting annual turnover in excess of R2,5 billion.
Christiaan (Christie) Stephanus Els (44)
CA(SA) Christie is a chartered accountant with more than 12 years' experience as a financial manager or director of a listed company. He was the Financial Director of Imperial Logistics (a division of the Imperial Group) before joining Buildmax.
Herman Fourie (39) Executive Director: Commercial and Finance Mining Services

Herman is a Chartered Accountant with 11 years' experience as a Financial Manager/Director in listed and unlisted companies. He was the Financial Director of Shaft Sinkers for five years prior to joining Buildmax as CFO. He stepped down as CFO in 2010 to focus on the Mining Services Business Unit.
Kobus van Biljon (Appointed July 2010) CEO Mining Services

Kobus has 20 years' experience at board level in a number of South African Construction companies. Most recently Kobus worked for Basil Read, one of South Africa's Top 5 JSE-listed construction companies as Executive Director of Foreign Operations. Prior to that he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Basil Read.
Thandeka Nozipho Mgoduso (Appointed July 2010) Group Human Resources & Strategic Transformation Director

Before joining Buildmax Thandeka was tasked with repositioning the HR function of the University of Johannesburg as a strategic business through her role as Executive Director of Human Resources. She has also been instrumental in the strategic transformation process as Executive Director of companies such as Ayavuna Women's Investments, Imperial Logistics and also as Chief Executive of Freight Dynamics.
