Paul de Klerk
Paul has more than 15 years’ experience in the construction industry with significant experience in corporatising and integrating owner-managed businesses into listed companies. He served as Managing Director (and before that Financial Director) of Iliad Africa - Building Materials Division. There Paul managed 3 000 employees in 51 outlets in a division posting turnover in excess of R2,5 billion.
Herman Fourie
Herman is a chartered accountant with 15 years’ experience as a financial manager/director in listed and unlisted companies. He was the Financial Director of Shaft Sinkers for five years prior to joining Buildmax.
Geoff Jordaan
Geoff draws on more than 40 years’ experience in the aggregates and quarries industry and is Managing Director of the group’s Aggregates & Quarries division. Prior to joining Buildmax he worked as a consultant at Lafarge Cement for 20 years where he was at one time Managing Director responsible for 15 quarries.
Gysbert Kappers
Gysbert is the Managing Director of Columbia and is the Managing Director of Buildmax Bricks & Blocks. Gys has over 15 years’ of experience in cement brick manufacturing and is a member of the board of the Concrete Manufacturers Association, a national body involved in setting and maintaining standards in the industry.
Riaan Myburgh
Riaan is the Manager of BSB. He has 8 years’ experience in the building materials supply industry.
Mike Watson
Mike established Diesel Power in the mid-1980’s and it is now amongst the largest and most prominent opencast mining, earth moving and civils contractors in South Africa. Mike has over 25 years’ experience in the industry.
