RESULTS OF CAPITAL RAISING AND GENERAL MEETING
Shareholders are advised that in terms of the capital raising detailed in
Buildmax's Revised Listings Particulars dated 5 March 2008 (the "RLP") the
company has accepted applications for R311 200 000 worth of Buildmax shares,
of which:
R250 000 000 was in respect of the issue of 138 888 889 new Buildmax shares
at a price of R1.80 per share, which includes the exercise by the company of
its over-allotment option on the back of investor demand;
R61 200 000 was in respect of the issue of 40 000 000 new Buildmax shares at
a price of R1.53 per share (a 15% discount to the subscription price) in
terms of the Black Economic Empowerment transaction as described in the RLP.
Successful applicants have been advised of their allocations and payment is
due to be received on Monday, 31 March 2008.
Shareholders are further advised that, at the Buildmax general meeting held
on Friday, 28 March 2008, all of the resolutions necessary to approve the
capital raising, the acquisition of the Buildco group and the acquisition of
Diesel Power Open Cast Mining (Pty) Ltd were passed by the requisite
majorities.
