Trading update and cautionary announcement
Shareholders are advised that the Group's earnings for the six months ending 30
September 2003 will be substantially lower ("substantially" being a decrease of
equal to or greater than 30% as defined in the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa Listings Requirements) when compared to the previous period.
The results have not been reviewed by the Group's auditors. Shareholders are
accordingly advised to exercise caution when dealing in their Buildmax
securities until the interim results are published.
